Ian grew up in a small business owning family in the west end of Toronto and began his career there. The family business manufactured products for the printing industry and employed 150 Ontarians at its peak.
Achieving his professional engineering status in 1994 (P.Eng.), Ian initially helped his family’s manufacturing business. He then pursued a career in the financial sector as an equity analyst after earning the chartered financial analyst (CFA) designation in 1998. In 2010 he earned his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Today, Ian owns a small business assisting clients in the financial sector to design and implement both business and technology projects.
Ian is inspired by the four principles of the People's Party of Canada: freedom, personal responsibility, fairness and respect. With his work ethic and desire to be a catalyst of fundamental change in Ottawa, Ian represents a fresh perspective and sensible departure from traditional parties. Ian agrees with Maxime that the time has come to do politics differently in Canada and he is proud to be an Elections Canada ''confirmed candidate" for Don Valley West.
